Westville Hotel SFL Division 1 – Round 7

Derrygonnelly 0-22 v Teemore 1-12

Eoin McManus and Jack Kelly delivered some perfect two pointers in this clash that seen the home side run out winners by seven points. Derrygonnelly started the brighter and led 0-5 to no score, however Eoin McManus and Sean McNally kept Teemore ticking and by half time it was 0-12 to 0-8. Stephen Gilroy pointed twice at the start of the second half before the home side pushed clear, 0-15 to 0-8. Ronan McCaffrey and Eoin McManus kept Teemore in the hunt and a goal from Jamie Hughes gave Teemore hope but Derrygonnelly ran out winners with some neat scores by Jarlath Flanagan, Conor Burns, Niall Maguire and Conall Rasdale.

Irvinestown 2-15 v Belnaleck 0-16

Irvinestown won out by five points in a testing encounter with Belnaleck on Friday evening. The home side were nine points clear at the break, while Belnaleck came right back into the game in the third quarter, as the second half seen a melee which seen a player from either side pick up a black card in a handbag incident. Goals for the home side came from Mattie McDermott in the opening half and Josh Largo Elis in the second half.

Devenish 2-20 v Aghadrumsee 0-10

Aghadrumsee stay rooted to the bottom of the table as the long trip to Devenish was fruitless for the Magpies. Devenish bossed this game throughout and by the break they led, 0-9 to 0-5 with points for the home side coming from Conal Maguire, Cian O’Brien, Lanty Feely, Jamie Flanagan, Cathal O’Flanagan and Terry O’Flanagan. It was still all Devenish in the second half and goals from Lanty Feely and Jamie Flanagan moved them well ahead. Nathan McGoldrick, Cian O’Brien, Jason Love and Jamie Flanagan hit some brilliant second half points.

Erne Gaels 3-12 v Enniskillen 1-6

Erne Gaels moved clear into second place with a deserving 12-point victory over Enniskillen Gaels. Seamus Ryder and Tommy McCaffrey hit important goals, while points flowed from Ryan Lyons, Luke Ryder, Aogan Kelm, Oisin Kelm and Jack McCann. The home side led at the break, 2-5 to 1-4, while the second half seen further scores from Tommy McCaffrey, Luke Ryder, Aogan Kelm and a goal from Ryan Lyons.

Roslea v Belcoo – Will now be played on Tuesday 28th July at 8pm

Newtownbutler 2-11 v Lisnaskea 2-10

Newtownbutler came through a testing derby clash with Lisnaskea as the First Fermanagh’s moved to joint first along with Ederney. Lisnaskea still sit in the bottom two places along with Belcoo, with Emmett’s points scores coming from Dylan Tierney, Joe McDade, Niall Keenan, Sean Keenan, Justin McDade, Paul Mohan, Conor Clarke, Mark Little and goals from Sean Keenan and Ethan McCaffrey.

Ederney 2-14 v Kinawley 1-14

In a tight looking Division 2 table this result may go a very long way for Ederney. Paul McCusker hit a goal on 2 minutes, while Chris Snow delivered some fantastic two pointers, with Kinawley hitting points via Tomas Cathcart, 1-9 to 0-6 at the break. Ryan Maguire and Tom Keenan exchanged early second half scores before Shay Deazley and Pol McKervey pushed the home side further ahead. Donal Owens hit a goal on 42 minutes to leave it 1-13 to 1-9, however Ederney finished with a Ryan Maguire goal, Kinawley did finish with a flurry of scores from Eoin McManus (2 Pointer) and Tomas Cathcart but the home side had done enough.

Crust & Crumb Division 3 – Round 8

Brookeborough 1-13 v Derrylin 2-14

The stand-out feature of the game in Brookeborough was the scoring prowess of The Heber McMahon’s half forward Dylan Bogue, who fired over Four-Two Pointers, plus a pointed free kick, but unfortunately his side was ultimately to come up short. A first minute goal from Feargal McGovern opened the scoring and the visitors were to hold the upper hand until deep into injury time when a Dara Rooney goal left the home side two points to the good at the break.Derrylin had points from Diarmuid Owens (2), Kian Prior (2), Feargal McGovern (1), Luke Flanagan, Jake Smith and Colm McGovern, with Bogue (6), Conor Howell, Cathal Moane (2) and Rory Greene. Half time- B’boro 1-10 Derrylin 1-08. The visitors quickly regained the lead upon the resumption with a goal from Pauric Owens plus points from Joe Lunney, Diarmuid Owens and Fergal McGovern. The home side replied with strikes from Bogue (3), but Derrylin rallied and points from Prior (2) and Jake Smith fashioned a four-point winning margin.

Maguiresbridge 3-9 v Tempo 2-18

Tempo recorded a six-point victory over Maguiresbridge with a splendid second half showing on Friday evening. Ciaran Corrigan, Ryan Hannigan and a goal from Caolan Duffy gave the home side a solid opening start, however Tempo’s Niall Fee showed his class with some fine two pointers to bring the Maguires back into the contest. Tempo were much the better in the second half and kept the home side to just three scores, (Conor Mulligan 2 points and a goal from Ryan Hyde). Tempo had goals via Dara McCaffrey and Rian Bogue, while points flowed from Sean Corry, Dara McCaffreyt, Oisin Murphy, Niall Fee and Rian Bogue.

St Patricks Donagh 2-25 v Coa 1-7

St Patricks Donagh put Coa to the sword on Friday evening as Daire Treacy impressed throughout with 1-7. It was 2-13 to 0-3 and really Coa found the going tough throughout as St Patricks Donagh put on one of their best displays of the season.
