Ulster GAA Club Championship 2016

We may still have to play out our Fermanagh Club Championship but already supporters and teams alike can dream of who they could meet in the Ulster Club series when it all starts again in October of this year.

Once again the Fermanagh Senior champions have been handed an extremely difficult start with another trip to Derry for the Fermanagh club champions, Derrygonnelly were to go down to Slaughtneil in 2015 on a scoreline of 4-13 to 1-4.

The Ulster Club IFC is once again like for like with the Fermanagh champions again travelling to Antrim. In 2015 Glenavy got the better of Irvinestown, AET 1-15 to 2-11.

The Junior Championship last season had our only win in all 3 Ulster Club competitions with Coa defeating Armagh side Tullysaran.

This year the Fermanagh Junior champions (Aghadrumsee, Belnaleck, Brookeborough or Newtownbutler) will have home advantage with a clash against the Down champions.

Lisbellaw will also take on the Armagh champions in the Ulster Senior Hurling Club Championship with the winner then travelling to face the Derry champions.

All in all a lot of Gaelic to be played between now and October but it’s always great to know what is in store.
