Tribute to James & his family; fondly remembered by his Fermanagh Coaches and U15 Hurling Academy Team;
Three Stars Over Fermanagh
Three stars rose high above the pitch, As hurls were laid and hearts did twitch. James, so young, with fire and grace, A hurler proud in his rightful place.
He ran the field with laughter bright, A shining soul, a fearless light. With dreams tucked deep in every swing, He played for joy, for love, for spring.
His heart beat strong for Lisbellaw, His club, his pride – he’d shout “Up the Law!” And donning Fermanagh’s green and white, He carried dreams in every fight.
As captain bold for Maguiresbridge, He led with heart, from pitch to ridge. A steady voice, a guiding hand, He stood with pride across the land.
Vanessa stood with eyes so kind, A mother fierce, a hurling mind. From Clare she came, her roots ran deep, In every match, her spirit’s leap.
A voice for growth, a guiding flame, She shaped the sport, she knew its name. She loved her children, she loved the game – She carried both with no acclaim.
And Sara, steady as morning light, Played LGFA with heart and might. Her smile could stir the very air, A soul with light beyond compare.
She gave her all in every play, A quiet strength that lit the day. A sister, teammate, friend, and grace – The calm that filled a loving space.
Now gone, yet ever standing near, In whispered winds, they’ll reappear. Three stars above, they light the skies, Their legacy in hurls and ties.
So raise a cheer, let stories flow, Their names in every match will grow. For James, for Vanessa, for Sara true – We hold them close, in all we do.
Ní imíonn fíor-hurler riamh ó chroíthe na nGael; tá a spiorad beo i ngach camán
