Ulster Sc?r Sinsir Final

April 9th, 2013

Congratulations to Nicola Timoney (Belcoo) who won the Ulster Sc?r Sinsir Final in Derry on Saturday with a beautiful traditional?rendition of “The Largy Stream”and will now go on to represent her Club, County and provence at the All-Ireland Sc?r Final in the Venue, Derry on Saturday 27th April 2013. This is a fantastic achievement for her and the standard was extremely high on the night with Armagh and Derry both hoping to take the title! This is the third year in a row that Fermanagh have won the Ulster Solo Singing title so it is a credit to the level of talent within our County!
Padraig McAloon (Aughadrumsee)?performed a fantastic rendition of “The Farmer Wants a Wife” and was very unlucky not to take first place.
Derrygonnelly Harps put in their usual uplifting and professional performance in the instrumental music section but as with Padraig were unfortunate not to win on this occassion.
