It will be the first time since May that clubs can now get back to normal and call upon their County players as round 12 comes into action this Friday evening around the County.
All credit must go to the Fermanagh Competitions Control Committee who have kept fixtures moving along incredibly well and this has in turn gave all club players in Fermanagh constant football.
With the entire fixtures released until the end of July, all going to plan there will be just 3 league fixtures left for clubs as we come into August.
Fri July 15th @ 8.00pm
Senior Football League Division 1 – Round 12
Ederney v Belcoo = Both these sides had hugely contrasting results the last day out. Belcoo defeated a spirited Irvinestown side, while Ederney were beaten by Roslea by 11 points. Ederney will be able to call upon the McCusker brothers which could give Aiden Gilroy’s side a chance here.
Derrygonnelly V Maguiresbridge = POSTPONED DUE TO FERMANAGH U21 HURLERS
Roslea v Devenish = Game of the day in Division 1. Roslea are the form team at present with 4 wins from the last 4 games. Devenish sit in the bottom 4 and will want to cling on to Belcoo and Irvinestown above them. With the likes of Treacy, Mulrone and O’Brien back this game has the makings of a classic.
Tempo v Erne Gaels = Tempo sit bottom of the pile with played 11, 9 defeats and 2 draws. Erne Gaels on the other hand have had a mixed weekend, last time out they had a home defeat to Maguiresbridge before an inspiring victory away to League champions Derrygonnelly. Form tips Erne Gaels here but you just never know with Fermanagh club football.
Irvinestown v Teemore = Teemore have gone about their business brilliantly this year and on current form they have picked up wins over Tempo, Maguiresbridge and Derrygonnelly. Irvinestown have lost their last 2 fixtures and will know that a home game against Teemore is a game that they need to get something out of. It’s a re-run of the 2015 IFC Final and it’s a clash of the 2 promoted sides, it should be close.
Senior Football League Division 2 – Round 12
Aghadrumsee v Enniskillen = POSTPONED DUE TO FERMANAGH U21 HURLERS
Coa v Newtownbutler = The round 1 clash between these sides has still to be played but since then both sides have had different fortunes. Coa find themselves with just 1 solitary win from 10 games, while Newtownbutler sit in 4th place and are looking good for a top 4 finish on current form.
Belnaleck v Kinawley = Belnaleck picked up a first win last weekend in 3 games but they have been drawing too many games to get near the top 4. Near neighbours Kinawley are having a super season with 11 wins from 11 and it would be classed as a major shock if Kinawley were not to get both points on Friday evening.
Derrylin v St Patricks = Two sides who very much so are having mixed seasons. Derrylin sit in 8th place and are finding the going tough this season. Donagh have won 9 from 11 games and will be looking to pick up points now before they concentrate on a SFC clash with Roslea.
Lisnaskea v Brookeborough = A derby clash that should really see Lisnaskea winning. The Skea side were defeated last week by Donagh but before that they had defeated Belnaleck, Enniskillen, Newtownbutler, Derrylin and Coa that has moved them nicely into 3rd place. Brookeborough on the other hand have conceded a whooping 221 points in 11 games (20.09pts per game) and will do well to get anything from Emmett Park.
