Fermanagh travel to Wexford on Saturday in hope that they can secure a Round 2B Qualifier place and into the hat for the next round on July 9th/10th.
Round 2B contains the four winners from Round 1B which will be known by this Saturday evening (Antrim/Limerick, Wexford/Fermanagh, Down/Longford and Offaly/London) who will be in Bowl 1 and Bowl 2 includes the four teams defeated in the “B” side Provincial Semi Finals (Westmeath or Kildare, Cork, Mayo and Monaghan or Donegal).
When the unopened balls from Bowls 1 and 2 are drawn they will be placed in a third bowl. The team drawn out first will have home advantage unless two teams who have already met in the 2016 Provincial Championship, are drawn to meet, the winner of the earlier game in the championship shall have home venue, regardless of which order the teams are drawn out in.
The Round 2B games are due to take place on Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10 and confirmation of home venues, times and all dates for the fixtures will be confirmed by the CCCC at a later date.
At the moment Fermanagh will only be thinking of Wexford and a meeting with the Model County who left the Leinster Championship after a 0-8 to 0-9 defeat by Kildare in Croke Park on Saturday May 21st.
