Fermanagh GAA urge all members to support Save Our Acute Services (SOAS) in their efforts to secure the future of the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen
The Department of Health are currently holding a consultation on the location of a Bariatric (weight loss)Surgery centre in Northern Ireland.
In 2019 it was announced that SWAH would be the location for this centre.
This consultation would suggest that the Department of Health are seeking to back-track on their previous decision.
This service would mean the permanent placement of a number of surgical consultants in Enniskillen. These type of services could underpin the wider objective of returning emergency services to SWAH. This is crucial for the long-term prospects of SWAH and for the short, medium and long-term wellbeing of the Fermanagh community.
SOAS are currently asking people to complete a consultation questionnaire by adding their name, email address and signature. These will then be returned to the department urging them to choose SWAH.
Copies will be available to complete on Saturday evening in Brewster Park at the Fermanagh v Kildare national league game, Saturday 3rd February, the process will only take a couple of minutes and we would urge as many people as we can to join in.
You can also download a copy by Clicking HERE you can print a copy out – the questionnaire has been prefilled – all you need to do is fill in your details on the front page and sign the declaration at the back.
It will take 2 minutes but could mean so much more to you and your family in the future. They can be returned to Fermanagh House ASAP or left in the club on Saturday evening.
SOAS are made up of a number of dedicated, hard-working volunteers from across the community who have campaigned tirelessly for the good of the people of Fermanagh. They deserve our support now and in the future. Thank you in advance.
