Coiste Chontae Fhear Manach is saddened to learn of the passing of Joe Pat Prunty.
Joe Pat was central to the development of GAA facilities of the highest possible standard across Fermanagh and his services were in high demand across Ireland and further afield. He was a unique character and a true visionary, who leaves a considerable legacy behind him.
As well as his successful career in developing and maintaining pitches, Joe Pat knew what to do on the field of play itself.
With his club Roslea Shamrocks, where he was Honorary President, he won four Fermanagh Senior Championship titles in a row between 1955-58.
He was also a valued member of the Fermanagh Junior All-Ireland winning team of 1959 that defeated Kerry in Croke Park.
He will be sadly missed by the many close friends he made within the GAA circle but the biggest loss will be felt by his loving family.
Our deepest sympathy goes to Angela, to his children John, Edel (Raymond), Maria, Nora (David) and Joseph, grandchildren Bernard, David, Molly, Thomas and James and to entire family circle at this time.
