A Groundsman National Education Day for GAA groundsmen has been organised by our new National Pitch Maintenance Work Group, in collaboration with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland (GSCAI). This event will take place on 14th May 2016 in National Games Development Centre at Abbotstown and I attach full details.
We have four places available for groundsmen from Fermanagh to attend. The day will be funded by Central Council. However, each attendee will be required to pay a registration fee of €80 per person to cover his/her membership of the GSCAI. Membership of the GSCAI will have significant benefits for our members and, we believe, will make a major contribution towards raising standards in the maintenance of our pitches in which we have invested enormous finance in recent years.
