On the 13th of July 2015, the untimely and sudden death of Gerard Timmons occurred. Gerard was a well-known character who managed Fermanagh hurlers between 2001 to 2003. He was no stranger to the GAA scene, hailing from the hurling stronghold of Silvermines GAA club in Tipperary originally. He will be deeply regretted by his wife Pauline, daughters Jennifer, Michelle, Mairead and grandsons Jake and Sam. He will also be sorely missed by his large family and his huge circle of friends.
May he rest in peace.
