Antrim 2-09 Fermangh 1-12
It’s five points out of six for Femanagh in Division Three following a hot and heavy draw with Antrim at Casement Park on Saturday evening.
It was all square at the break and the same at the final whistle but that does not even come close to telling the story of this well contested encounter.
Fermanagh looked to be heading for all the points after Daryl Keenan palmed the ball to the net to give the Erne County a 1-05 to 1-02 lead at the start of the second half.
Antrim, however, had different ideas and a goal from Sean McVeigh edged them in front at 2-07 to 1-09 midway through the second half.
From there to the end, this game was totally in the melting pot, changing hands accordingly and while Antrim were reduced to 14 men after Crozier received two yellow cards, it took a Paul Ward free to tie the game at 1-12 to 2-09 and earn a decent point for Fermanagh.
Tempers did fray towards the end but this was a point earned for Fermanagh although they will feel they could have taken all two.
Fermanagh did start without captain Ryan McCluskey, Ryan Jones, James Sherry and Damian Kellybut their decent start to the season continues
