Fermanagh Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final reports

Irvinestown 1-11 v Belcoo 1-6

Irvinestown were to get the better of Belcoo at a wet Tempo on Sunday evening in this Kevin Courtney Car Sales Fermanagh IFC Semi Final.

Gary Maguire and Brian Cox pointed early for their sides before Irvinestown raced ahead 0-5 to 0-3 with 20 minutes played.

Stephen Sheridan and Kevin Duffy pointed late on as the Shane Goan managed side went in leading at the break, 0-7 to 0-3.

James Duffy and Ciaran Flaherty exchanged early points while Flaherty kept Belcoo in the hunt it was Ronan Ormsby who pointed to put his side 0-10 to 0-6 in the lead.

Paul McGrath fisted a Belcoo goal to put one between them but a Ronan Ormsby point and a Stephen Sheridan goal was enough to book a Final place for September 26th.

Teemore 0-9 v Kinawley 0-9

Tomas Corrigan was the star of the show in the second Semi Final at Tempo, with the Fermanagh sharp shooter finishing the game with a staggering 0-8 for his side including an injury time equaliser.

It was Kinawley who were much the brighter early on with Corrigan’s points and a solitary score from Shea Keenan making it 0-5 to 0-1 in favour of Iggy Gallagher’s side.

Eoin and Cian McManus pointed late in the first half for Teemore as Kinawley went in at the break, 0-6 to 0-3 ahead.

Tomas Corrigan kept Kinawley ahead early on but John Fitzpatrick, Joey Donegan and Eoin McManus (3) made it 0-8 apiece before former Fermanagh ace Barry Owens pointed in the 59th minute to give Teemore the lead for the first time.

However, Tomas Corrigan was to point deep into injury time to give the sides another day out and both Trillick men, Iggy Gallagher and Sean Donnelly may wait another week for bragging rights.
