Fermanagh IFC Final

Irvinestown St Molaise 1-12 v Teemore Shamrocks 1-9

Irvinestown were to secure a first Intermediate title since 2011 thanks to a 20 minute spell either side of half time that seen them outscore Teemore, 1-7 to 0-1.

Teemore had started the brighter and after 20 minutes an Eoin McManus penalty seen them lead 1-4 to 0-3, however Irvinestown finished the half the stronger with points from Liam McQuaid, Stephen Sheridan and former Ardboe star Ronan Campbell to go in level at the break, 0-7 to 1-4.

Irvinestown added a goal in the 38th minute when James Duffy was on hand to fire to the net and further points from Duffy, Ronan Ormsby and Kevin McDonnell stretched their lead.

However Teemore did finish with a flurry of scores from substitutes Sean Curry, Paul Martin and Fermanagh ace Eoin McManus but player manager and former Fermanagh star Shane Goan’s side deservedly held on to win as a sea of Green and Yellow swept onto the Brewster Park surface at the full time whistle.

Next up for Irvinestown is the Antrim champions on November 1st in the Ulster Club and that will be one of Dunloy, Gort Na Mona, Glenavy or Rasharkin.
