With the NHL Division 3B not set to start until March 6th the Fermanagh hurlers have been working hard on the training field.
Joint managers Seamus McCusker and Sean Duffy have appointed Irvinestown clubman Aidan Ormsby as the new Strength & Conditioning coach for the hurlers in 2016.
The qualified personal trainer has been training Irvinestown underage sides for 20+ years and also managed the Irvinestown senior football side for 3 years.
Ormsby admits he is enjoying his role with the hurlers, “They are a great bunch of lads and all of them are working hard. I am looking forward to the games coming up and I am confident the players will be in prime condition to make a push for promotion and get back up to Division 3A hurling.”
The Fermanagh hurlers who won the 2015 Lory Meagher Cup with a 3-16 to 1-17 victory over Sligo will now have the 2016 Nicky Rackard Cup to look forward to and a clash with Ulster neighbours Monaghan in Round one in Brewster Park on Saturday April 23rd.
