Following a decision by the GAA that every Club and County Board must henceforth appoint a Children’s Officer most Club’s in Fermanagh have, at this stage, appointed a person to this key?post.
I have spoken to?a number?of these Children’s Officers’ and all have requested an information evening at which we could receive more information on the role and function of the?Children’s Officer at?Club level.
In conjunction with myself, Gear?id ? Maoilmhichil,?the GAA National Children’s Officer, and Dermot Howlin the?Wexford County Children’s Officer?we have agreed to organise such an information evening?on Wednesday 25th July 2012 in?The Clinton Centre in Enniskillen from 7.00 to 9.00 pm.
This will provide all Club Children’s Officer with an opportunity to hear directly what their perceived roles may be and to have any matters relating to their roles clarified on the night.
