SFL 1 Round 15
Derrygonnelly v Ederney, Ferghal Cleary = A Championship quarter Final clash in 5 weeks time will be in the back of the minds of players and supporters here. The Harps picked up a superb 27 point victory on Friday night against Maguiresbridge to put behind them last Sundays home defeat to Irvinestown. Ederney have hit a rich vein of form in winning the last 3 games and this should be a great test for both sides.
Erne Gaels v Roslea, Noel Davis = This game should have plenty of needle in it still from last year’s SFC Semi Final. Both sides are going well and both will know that a win here would really set them up for a top 4 finish.
Devenish v Tempo, Joseph Corcoran = The loss for Tempo of Aidan Breen who has went to America to play football cannot be underestimated. Devenish on the other hand are at full strength and should seal a win here which would conceal Tempo to a bottom 4 place league finish and the dreaded relegation playoffs.
Maguiresbridge v Irvinestown, Dermott Love = The Bridge have a vast amount of games to catch up on and started out on Friday with a heavy defeat away to Derrygonnelly. Irvinestown done superbly to beat Derrygonnelly last Sunday and this is another tricky test for Shane Goan’s side.
Teemore v Belcoo = With just 4 league games to go Teemore are looking very good for a top 4 finish, especially after Sean Curry’s late equalising score last week against Roslea. Belcoo are having a tough season and a bottom 4 league finish is looking like a reality as the games become less.
SFL 2 Rd 15
Enniskillen v Newtownbutler, Kevin Donnelly = Enniskillen have dropped 3 points in the last 2 games and the defeat to Aghadrumsee on Wednesday evening past may have ended the Gaels interest in a top 4 finish and a chance at promotion to division 1. Newtownbutler sit in 4th and after winning on Friday night it looks a straight fight between them and Lisnaskea for the 4th place in the table.
Brookeborough v Aghadrumsee, John Murphy = Two sides who have had different seasons. Brookeborough have won one in 14 games while Aghadrumsee sit in 3rd place and will push Kinawley and St Patricks for a top 2 finish. Aghadrumsee should have enough quality about them here to pick up both points on offer.
Lisnaskea v Coa – POSTPONED
