Western Cars Fermanagh Minor Championship Final
Enniskillen 3-21 v Irvinestown 0-5
Enniskillen were to make it two winning Minor Championships in a row with a fully deserving 25 point success over Irvinestown, the game played at a splendid Brewster Park on Saturday evening.
The opening quarter of the first half was close throughout with Enniskillen hitting points from Ronan Quinn and Timmy Boyd, but Irvinestown hit back through Ben McCann and Kevin Gallagher as both sides were close early on.
The Enniskillen side then pushed on and hit a flurry of scores through Callum Frempong, Callum Jones and Ronan Quinn before two late first half goals for Enniskillen thanks to John Reihill and Ronan Quinn made it 2-7 to 0-2.
Right on the stroke of half time Enniskillen pushed on further through Callum Jones and Conall Quinn as the sides went in at half time with Enniskillen leading, 2-9 to 0-2.
Irvinestown did open the second half with the opening score thanks to a fine effort from Oliver Hughes but Enniskillen were to run away with this encounter with some fine scores.
Callum Jones who finished with 0-5 was to point, with other fine scores coming from Ronan Quinn, Conall Quinn, Daire Keaney, Nathan Tierney, Gavin Greene and an injury time penalty goal from midfielder Daire Keaney.
Enniskillen Gaels will now represent Fermanagh in the St Pauls Ulster Club Minor Football tournament.
