B McCaffrey & Sons Ltd Reserve Division 2 League Final
Enniskillen 3-12 v Kinawley 0-12
Enniskillen first half goals proved to be the difference as they claimed the Reserve League Division 2 title in Brewster Park on Saturday evening.
Both these sides came into the game as promoted to next seasons Division 1 and it seen a close opening first half that Enniskillen led 0-3 to 0-2 after 10 minutes.
The two goals from Enniskillen came from Conall Quinn and Michael Dooris and as Conall Quinn tagged on a further 3 fine point it was Enniskillen who went in with a handsome first half lead, 2-6 to 0-5.
Kinawley did start the second half in brilliant fashion as they hit 4 points in the opening ten minutes thanks to Aaron O’Reilly (2) Shea Keenan and Gabriel McHugh but Enniskillen weathered that storm with points from Daniel Keenan, Neil McDermott and Conall Quinn to make it 2-9 to 0-9 with 10 minutes to play.
Enniskillen were to really put this game out of sight in the 51st minute when corner back Lorcan Love found himself up forward to calmly slot home the Gaels third goal and they claimed further scores from Conor Goodwin and the excellent Neil McDermott to claim the Division 2 trophy.
Kinawley can look back to just not get going in the first half but can be heartened with some fine scores from Shea Keenan and Aaron O’Reilly.
For Enniskillen, maybe the Youth success is slowly starting to come through and the future looks bright for Enniskillen.
