Fermanagh 3-14 v Donegal 3-18
@ Brewster Park
Donegal were to book an Ulster Shield Final place after an absorbing clash with Fermanagh on Sunday evening.
The Tir Chonaill side raced into a 2-7 to 0-1 lead after 12 minutes and from here on in it was Fermanagh who were chasing an uphill struggle.
Early goals for Donegal from Danny Cullen and Lee Henderson had the away side well ahead early on but Fermanagh were to hit points from Sean Corrigan (5) and Declan McGarry while Ryan Bogue was to strike over a sideline score that was worth the admission fee alone.
Donegal had some fine scores in the first half coming from Danny Cullen, Niall Cleary (3) and Lee Henderson who was to have an excellent game that seen his side leading at the break, 0-10 to 2-11.
The second half was only 3 minutes old when Ciaran Corrigan was to score two fine goals to give the home side a real chance of victory but Lee Henderson kept his cool to calmly knock over 2 frees for Donegal to leave them 2-13 to 2-10 ahead.
Ryan Bogue was to fire two further sideline scores over in which he makes it look easy, while a third Donegal goal arrived in the 44th minute thanks to Paddy Hannigan.
Declan McGarry responded with a Fermanagh goal to leave it 3-13 to 3-14 in favour of Donegal with just 11 minutes remaining.
Fermanagh though were unable to close the gap any further and Donegal stretched ahead mainly thanks to Lee Henderson and Paul Sheridan as the Tir Chonaill side booked a final appearance against Monaghan who were handed a walkover after Tyrone pulled out of the game just this afternoon at 4pm.
