Division 2
Enniskillen v Derrylin = Warren Dixon is back for a second year with the Enniskillen side who will look to make a top 5 finish before making an onslaught for promotion. Derrylin had a memorable year in 2014 and with Michael Cadden in charge once again they will be confident of being more consistent in the league. The loss of Mark Murphy to Australia though is a massive loss to the O’Connell’s club.
Belnaleck v Aghadrumsee = Both sides will really want to get off to a winning start in a tight looking league. Belnaleck have some fine talented footballers with the Cullen twins the best known. Aghadrumsee have the excellent Eddie Courtney in their side and will be a tough nut to crack, should be a good game.
Brookeboro v Coa = Just like the above game both sides will be extremely hopeful of getting off to a winning start. Brookeboro have opted for Kinawley man Darren Boyle to take over their side. Niall Rooney has retired and will be sorely missed around the playing field. Coa have went for local lads Colm McCann and Gary Donnelly. With Eoin Donnelly and Darren McQuade in fine form for Fermanagh at present Coa will be confident that they can carry that form into club action. Brookeboro will look to the talented Aidan Boyle for scores.
Newtownbutler v Teemore = It may be the opening day of the season but already this clash can be classed as a top of the table encounter. Newtownbutler and Teemore both were relegated from last season’s division 1 and will be cautious of how difficult it can be to get out of division 2 if you lose a couple of games against the sides around you. Newtownbutler start the season without the experienced Clive Fitzpatrick, for Teemore Sean Donnelly is back and the St Josephs school teacher will be putting his faith in some fine youngsters such as Ryan Maguire, Eoin McManus and Mac Rory cup winner Cian McManus.
Irvinestown v Kinawley = Kinawley will enter the season with Trillick man Iggy Gallagher in charge and with players like the Corrigan brothers, James Allen and Sean Doherty in the side the Brian Boru’s will be tipped by many to make a return to top flight football. Irvinestown started off brightly last season before falling away, manager Shane Goan will carry a lot of respect into the job and they may surprise many. Kinawley will know they will be severely tested here.
