Fermanagh Under-21 hurlers this evening defeated Sligo at the Sligo GAA Excellence Centre with a deserving 2-13 to 1-12 victory.
The Fermanagh side led throughout and mid way through the first half they led, 1-4 to 0-3 thanks to a goal from Vinnie Woods.
A second goal arrived on 28 minutes from the excellent Ciaran Corrigan and this put the Erne men into a comfortable 2-7 to 0-6 half time lead.
Sligo did start the second half well with a number of points and a goal but Fermanagh held firm and now look forward to an All Ireland Under-21 ‘C’ Championship Final against Donegal on Saturday July 23rd.
The winner of the ‘C’ competiton will then go into the ‘B’ section Quarter Final and a meeting with Kerry.
