Well as we tick rapidly towards our date with destiny on Sunday afternoon, I think we all need to get ourselves along to Brewster Park on Friday evening and get what will hopefully be a historic weekend for our County kicked off in style with plenty of craic and banter.
All the preparations are now in place and with the weather set fair (bring your sunscreen) this should be a real good event. We therefore encourage your attendance and that of your family, friends and Club or work colleagues as this event is open to everyone.
The BBQ will run from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and the cooking will be in the safe hands of Gavin and Nicky Cassidy from the Westville Hotel. There will be loads of food with steak, chicken, burgers, sausages and a range of salads on offer. We even have a wide range of preserves and chutneys available. During our meal, children from the local Comhaltas will provide some traditional background music.
After we are fed and watered our Chat Show will commence with top guests in attendance. Marty McGrath, Brendan Devenney and Dom Corrigan will impart plenty of tales and give their opinion on Sunday’s game with Rory Rafferty from Gaelic Weekly hosting the discussion. We also have a very special guest coming along to entertain us – more on that on Friday evening so you have to be there to see who our special guest is.
After all of that craic we then have one of Belnaleck’s finest with Vinci Wamsley coming on stage to entertain us into the wee small hours.
We will also have a raffle for some great prizes and we will auction a few prestigious items.
So all in all a great evening is in store for just £20 per adult and £7 for those U16 accompanied by a parent / guardian.
