You wait ages for one bus and then two come along at once.
On Sunday evening we reported that the Reserve Division 2 game between Coa and Enniskillen seen father and son, Michael and Gavin McGinn come up against each other.
Well its took place before in another Fermanagh Reserve game, this time a Division 1 tie between Maguiresbridge and Derrygonnelly.
Shane O’Donnell, 41, was the goalkeeper for Maguiresbridge, while his son Cillian, 19, was playing at corner forward for Derrygonnelly and once again it was the youngster who got the better of his Dad as Derrygonnelly won the game, 1-10 to 1-9 on the opening day of the season.
O’Donnell had retired for a number of years but due to a lack of numbers has come back out again this season for the Maguiresbridge club.
It wasn’t the first time his son Cillian got the better of his Dad as back in 2014 Derrygonnelly were to beat a Maguiresbridge side with Shane part of the management team in the Fermanagh Minor Championship Final and Cillian scored a fine goal that evening.
