Fermanagh will compete in the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2016 after finishing with four points to spare over Louth in today’s relegation/promotion play-off at Kingspan Breffni Park.
The Ernesiders applied the gloss to their Lory Meagher Cup success over Sligo seven days ago with a 1-15 to 2-8 victory over the Wee County.
The John Paul McGarry captained outfit led by 0-13 to 0-5 at the change of ends but Gerard Smyth cut their lead when converting a penalty seven minutes after the restart.
Daniel Teague settled Fermanagh nerves with a 47th minute goal and the Ulster men could afford the luxury of conceding a second Smyth goal seven minutes from time.
