Volunteering Seminar
Ulster GAA, in conjunction with the Irish FA and IRFU-Ulster Branch, are hosting a Volunteering Seminar to look at ways in which clubs can better recruit, use, and retain volunteers.
As we all are aware there are many jobs needing doing within our clubs, and finding ways in which to get more help to do them is a important aspect for all clubs. Oftentimes we struggle to find the best ways in which to use volunteers’ time and expertise to best effect. And often volunteers have engaged with our clubs but only for a short while. This seminar will look at ways in which to engage with volunteers more effectively, in order to build strong teams both on and off the field.
The Seminar will take place at the Wellington Park Hotel, Belfast on Wednesday 31st August from 6.30pm – 9.30pm and is FREE to attend. Registration is required; please RSVP to maura.mcmenamin.ulster@gaa.ie by 12noon on Friday 26th August.
Irish Rugby International, and former GAA player with St Pauls Hollywood, Craig Gilroy will be the guest speaker, as well as club case-studies from each sport in attendance to relay some of the lessons learned in terms of working with volunteers.
