Roslea 1-17 v St Patricks Donagh 0-17
Roslea were to come through a testing Quarter Final clash against neighbours St Patricks in the opening clash at Brewster Park on Sunday.
The Roslea side hit the only goal of the game after just 3 minutes as Sean Quigley (pictured) played in Brendan Sherlock for a goal to put them 1-1 to no score ahead.
Michael Montgomery, Patrick Cadden and Kevin Curran all kept the St Patricks side in touch and by half time Roslea went in leading 1-7 to 0-7 mainly thanks to some fine scores from Sean Quigley.
The St Patricks side kept on the tails of Roslea throughout the second half but Roslea through Sean and Seamus Quigley who would end up with 0-14 between the two of them done enough to knock a brave St Patricks performance out of the SFC completion.
Derrygonnelly 1-14 v Ederney 1-9
Derrygonnelly were to advance to a Semi final clash after overcoming Ederney on Sunday.
The first half saw both goals coming early on with Derrygonnellys Declan Cassidy and then Ederneys Martin McGrath with both sides’ three pointers. Martin McGrath would then pick up a black card and Derrygonnelly pushed ahead thanks to some fine scores from Jonathan McGurn as Derrygonnelly went in leading 1-4 to 1-2.
The second half seen Derrygonnelly always ahead and Jonathan McGurn, Paul Ward, Garvan McGinley and Stephen McGullion landed fine points.
Ederney did try to get back into the game with Darren McCusker and Paul McCusker hitting points but Derrygonnelly would have enough to finish strongly and book a semi final clash with neighbours Devenish, a repeat of last year’s Semi finals.
