A Gold Mark may look great on your CV

July 26th, 2016

Does your club wish to increase the number of young people volunteering or are you a young person currently volunteering with your club?
If so, GoldMark could be the programme for you.

Ulster GAA is a proud delivery partner of the GoldMark Programme, which is a programme led by Volunteer Now aimed at promoting and recognising sports volunteering for people aged 14 to 24 years old.

GoldMark is a simple programme which requires young volunteers to keep a Volunteer Record that is signed off by a club coordinator and Ulster GAA coordinator. It builds on the success of Millennium Volunteers and is part supported by the Department of Education.

Young sports volunteers are awarded for 50 hours, 100 hours and 200 hours of volunteering. The 200 hours award is an award of excellence signed off by the Minister of Education.

GoldMark awards can be used in job applications and for University/College applications.

To get involved in GoldMark or to learn more about the programme email fionntan.odowd.ulster@gaa.ie or call 028 3751 7180.
