Go Green for Fermanagh
St Mary’s P.S. Mullymesker and Kate McDade had a very special day last week. They took part in a Go Green for Fermanagh day where Fermanagh Full Back and past pupil Che Cullen and Fermanagh Ladies player Danielle Maguire were in attendance to answer questions and meet the children.
The day was a side show for the main event where Kate McDade received her prizes for being the first pupil to reach 5 Stars! Kate’s parents were also there to surprise her.
Ulster GAA’s Owen Mooney who works in the school as part of the Department of Educations Curriculum Sports Programme organised the day to give Kate her prizes.
All children in Owen’s classes can receive stars from anything from good behaviour, sharing, athletic ability to simply being nice to someone. The programme is to develop the teachers ability to teach PE as well as improve the confidence and self esteem of the young children involved.
