Erne Gaels 3-16 v Irvinestown 2-10
Erne Gaels were to comprehensively defeat Irvinestown in the opening game at Canon Maguire Park, Derrygonnelly on Saturday evening, the Belleek side winning by 7 points at the end.
Erne Gaels held sway and went in at the break leading 1-9 to 0-4 thanks to a Ryan Lyons goal after just 2 minutes.
Erne Gaels pushed on further in the second half with points from the excellent Ryan Lyons, Tommy McCaffrey and Seamus Ryder before a second Erne Gaels goal from Barry McCann.
Irvinestown did come back into the tie late on with goals from Ronan Ormsby and James Duffy but an injury time goal from Luke Ryder put the icing on the cake for Erne Gaels who go into Sunday evenings Semi final draw.
Devenish 0-17 v Teemore 0-13
A Barry Mulrone (pictured) inspired Devenish side were to cause something of a mini shock with a deserving 4 point success against Teemore in the second game in Derrygonnelly on Saturday evening.
Devenish controlled the first half well but with all their possession they only went in at the break leading 0-9 to 0-5.
The second half seen Teemore come back into the game with 4 unanswered points coming from John Fitzpatrick, Eoin McManus, Jason McCaffrey and Niall Clarke but Devenish showed a great attitude to come right back at Teemore and thanks to some superb points from Barry Mulrone and a further score from Jason Love pushed Devenish back into the lead with 15 minutes remaining.
Late on Teemore rallied for an equalising goal but Devenish stood firm with Martin Doherty and Terry O’Flanagan superb and it was left to John O’Flanagan to strike over from 35 yards out to book Devenish into the last 4 as they search for a first SFC title since 1996.
