Kinawley 2-10 v Coa 0-6 @ Derrylin
A double goal blast from Shea Keenan and Conor Murphy in the second half was to send Kinawley into the Semi Finals at the expense of Coa on Friday night.
The first half was close throughout with the sides level numerous times with Coa pointing from Darren McQuade (2) and Damien Wardman. Kinawley had points from Sean McManus (3), Ruairi Corrigan and Shea Keenan to go in at the break 0-5 to 0-3 ahead.
Shea Keenan’s opening goal just 30 seconds into the second half was to break Coa hearts and the Kinawley side hit further points from Shea Keenan, Aaron O’Reilly, Patrick McGovern and Shaun Doherty before Murphy’s goal 11 minutes from time sealed the Semi final slot.
Enniskillen 0-11 v Tempo 0-11 @ Irvinestown
This game will have to be replayed after Enniskillen attacker Brian McAleer (pictured) pointed from a free in injury time to give the County town side a second chance.
The game was level throughout the first half with fine first half points from Enniskillen coming from Neil McDermott. Tempo had some great points in the opening half thanks to Damien Kelly and Niall McElroy as both sides went in 0-6 apiece at the break.
The sides swapped points throughout the second half with Richard O’Callaghan and Brian McAleer pointing for the Enniskillen side and for Tempo it was Damien Kelly, Tiarnan Bogue and the excellent Niall McElroy who all found their range.
The game could not be any closer as it went into injury time and Charlie Kelly pointed in the 71st minute to give his side a slender one point victory until Enniskillen’s Brian McAleer stepped up to land a monstrous free which means both sides will meet again this coming Friday September 2nd in a replay.
